Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers

On September 1, 2026, David A. Thomas, Director of DTE Energy Company, announced his intent to retire from the Board of Directors effective as of September 3, 2026. Dr. Thomas's decision to retire after 13 years of service is not a result of any disagreement with management or the Board.
