The table below shows the number of distribution facilities occupied by Sysco in each country and the aggregate square footage devoted to cold and dry storage as of July 2, 2022.

We own approximately 40,700,000 square feet of our distribution facilities (or 75.5% of the total square feet), and the remainder is occupied under leases expiring at various dates from fiscal 2023 to fiscal 3012, exclusive of renewal options.

Within our Latin American operations, we operate 17 cash and carry facilities and 5 warehouse and storage facilities in Costa Rica and 4 cash and carry facilities and 1 warehouse and storage facility in Panama.

We own our approximately 634,000 square foot headquarters office complex in Houston, Texas. In fiscal 2021, we sold our complex in Cypress, TX which previously housed our shared business services and other services, and began performing all corporate and shared service operations from our headquarters.

We are currently constructing expansions or build-outs for various distribution facilities in the United States. The various operating sites under construction, in the aggregate, contributed 12% of fiscal 2022 sales.

As of July 2, 2022, our fleet of approximately 15,000 delivery vehicles consisted of tractor and trailer combinations, vans and panel trucks, most of which are either wholly or partially refrigerated for the transportation of frozen or perishable foods. We own approximately 94% of these vehicles and lease the remainder.
